COVID-19 Update

Update – 8th December 2020

As you may be aware, from 12:00 am Saturday, December 5 2020, WA businesses and premises will be required to maintain mandatory contact registers for the purpose of COVID-19 contact tracing. These records would only be used for contact tracing, should it be required, and will only be kept for 28 days.

As a guest, we will already have your contact details and will be in touch with you in the unlikely event that contact tracing should be required. We ask for your assistance in the state government’s efforts, by ensuring that all guests and visitors observe the contact registration requirements when visiting the Freshwater property. This particularly includes visiting any public areas such as the pool and BBQ area.

Freshwater’s unique QR codes for the purpose of the SafeWA App are displayed throughout the property, including the main rear access gate, reception, pool, and BBQ. Further information on the SafeWA App can be found below.

The health and safety of our staff and guests is our highest priority which is why the Kimberley Experiences Group (which includes Freshwater East Kimberley Apartments) promptly responded to the COVID-19 pandemic. This includes developing a robust COVID-19 Management Policy and supporting procedures. This Policy has been reviewed by senior medical experts and includes:

– The introduction of strict hygiene protocols for all staff and guests;

– Introduction of more stringent daily disinfection regimes in our offices, accommodation, public areas within our accommodation facilities and vehicles;

– Introducing a ‘stay at home’ policy for all staff to ensure that our workforce is at its healthiest.

We have also increased the use of hand sanitiser which is available for all guests to use. Additionally, contact details for each guest are already recorded as part of our normal check-in procedures and we are encouraging all  guests to download the COVID-19 Government app.

Due to the prompt release of our detailed Safety Plan, we were able to open all facilities at our accommodation as soon as the WA government permitted. Guests can now enjoy our pool and its tranquil surroundings as well as our BBQ facilities.

Because of our commitment to managing COVID-19, our Quality & Safety Department are treating this with utmost priority to ensure that all of our staff, passengers and guests remain healthy and safe.

Travel and Flexibility

– For bookings arriving before 30 April 2020: We have introduced fully flexible cancellation terms without fees, excluding our ‘Twice the Adventure Half the Price’ special of 2019, which can be rescheduled at no charge.

– For bookings arriving after 30 April 2020: Bookings can be cancelled at no charge up to 24 hours before your scheduled arrival.
