COVID-19 Update

As the situation regarding COVID-19 unfolds, we want to provide you with an update of what we are doing here at Freshwater East Kimberley Apartments to ensure the health and safety of our guests, and to provide you with booking and travel confidence during these uncertain times.

As always, whether you are travelling for business or leisure, our commitment is to offering the highest standards of accommodation and customer care. In addition to our already flexible booking conditions and high standards of apartment cleanliness, hygiene and maintenance we have implemented the following measures in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

How we can help you

– We will be offering a grocery and laundry delivery service for those who are required to self-isolate

– Heavily discounted rates for extended stays to help lighten the load for those who are required to self-isolate

 

What may affect your stay

– Following advice from our local Shire, our swimming pool will be closed from 25th March through to midnight 13th April. This closure will be revised and potentially extended if required.

 

Hygiene and Safety

– Increased public areas cleaning with antibacterial cleansing solution comprised of 60% alcohol.

– Increased courtesy bus cleaning with antibacterial cleansing solution comprised of 60% alcohol.

– Heavily increased and documented reception and check-in area cleaning including guest registration stationery with 60% alcohol solution.

– Increased sanitisation of all surfaces, door handles, switches and remotes within apartment with 60% alcohol solution.

– Cleaning cloths and linen continue to be washed at a minimum 50 degrees Celsius plus drying at minimum 70 degrees Celsius.


Travel and Flexibility

– For bookings arriving before 30 April 2020: We have introduced fully flexible cancellation terms without fees, excluding our ‘Twice the Adventure Half the Price’ special of 2019, which can be rescheduled at no charge.

– For bookings arriving after 30 April 2020: Bookings can be cancelled at no charge up to 24 hours before your scheduled arrival.

– NB: As the situation evolves, we may extend our fully flexible cancellation terms beyond 30 April.


Other measures being taken

– Internally we have had mandatory staff 14 day quarantine periods in place for the last fortnight for any staff returning from international travel.

– We have a dedicated Health, Safety and Quality team who are keeping abreast of the latest information from the World Health Organisation and Department of Health and updating our procedures immediately upon updated advice from these organisations.

– We have procedures in place to support our guests should they arrive or become unwell during their time in Kununurra.

– In addition, we are confident that our tourism partners across the region are extending the very same standards of hygiene and flexibility.
