Guest Services Agent

Freshwater East Kimberley Apartments, Kununurra’s newest 4.5 star accommodation is seeking a vibrant, well presented, and enthusiastic, customer service focused, Guest Services Agent.

This opportunity will be based in Kununurra, the gateway to the Kimberley, surrounded by breathtaking scenery, rock formations, and waterways. The established town has take-away stores, restaurants, medical centres and even an outdoor drive-in theatre, to view the stars with your film.

Kununurra is the epicentre of exploration and is surrounded by ‘must see’ wonders. Lake Argyle offers sunset cruises, boat hire, water sports and fishing activities, similarly breathtaking walking trails and local waterfalls such as Black Rock Falls and Secret Springs offer great photo opportunities and swimming spots for the Kununurra residents.

We are looking for a Guest Service Agent to join our friendly, positive and motivated Kununurra team to efficiently welcome guests and visitors to Freshwater East Kimberley Apartments.

About the Role

We are looking for a positive, enthusiastic, and professional individual who is committed to excellence and will take ownership of their responsibilities and enjoy being part of an award winning, growing business.

Your duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Reservations, including cancellations and modifications.
  • Guest check-ins and check-outs.
  • Guest services i.e. providing advice on local tours, general information, problem solving, managing complaints and feedback.
  • Inventory management/allocation of rooms to meet the needs of a diverse range of guests.
  • Airport transfers.
  • Opening and Closing reception.
  • Data entry, reporting and filing.
  • Provide support to the housekeeping team when required.
  • On-Call when required, approximately one to two nights per week.

We currently have a Full-Time permanent vacancy however will consider a candidate seeking a Part Time role.

About You

The successful applicant will have a professional approach to work, be well presented and a customer focused mindset. In addition, they will be a:

  • Team player who is self-motivated and possess a positive outlook.
  • Warm and welcoming personality, with excellent communication skills.
  • Computer literacy, with experience in reservations / room management and scheduling preferred.
  • Flexibility with work hours and shifts, and able to be on-call approximately 1 night per week. Some weekend work will be required.
  • Ability to function well in a busy environment.
  • A current “C” Class Driver’s Licence.
